Speaking and Workshops

Wendy and the Spiral Up team offer inspiring keynotes, workshops, and panel participation for organizations such as Cisco, Facebook, Intel, The Texas Conference for Women, Stanford University, The 3% Conference, and Women In Technology International (WITI).

Ready to Rise: The Keys to Unleashing Your Power and Rising to the Next Level of Your Calling and Career

Never before have women been so degreed or so represented as decision makers in all areas of influence. Why then, do we still feel as if success eludes us? Why do we sometimes struggle to keep our drive alive? The linear, heads-down, forward-at-all-cost approach to success that has been forged by men will never take us to the heart of fulfillment. But until now there hasn’t been another choice.
Wendy recognizes this unmet need of professional women for an alternative path, and offers a step-by-step roadmap for professional women to unlock their power and achieve success on their own terms.

This interactive session and pre-session reading assignment will help attendees sustain their drive and ambition and “steer their careers” by learning to internalize success and cultivate their five Co-Creative Powers of Energy, Mind, Feelings, Speech, and Actions—the fundamentals of self-creation. Wendy’s session will empower you with tools to increase self-agency and take action towards your goals even in the midst of change.

Intended Outcomes:

  • Cultivating leadership presence
  • Build the confidence and career self-reliance to “steer your career”
  • Develop Inner Authority to turn around negative thinking
  • Identify key strengths and take action on your “calling”
  • Use your words to powerfully raise yourself, others, and situations to higher possibilities

The Profitability and Power of Feminine Leadership: A New Paradigm

The definition of what makes a great leader is evolving. The shift from hierarchical systems, where individual achievement matters most, to matrix organizations where collaboration and teamwork dramatically improve both productivity and profits, has created a demand for women leaders who are naturally gifted in relationships and communication. In addition, advancing women’s equality can add as much as $12 trillion dollars (USD) to the global economy. Data shows that firms with women in executive positions have a 34% higher return for shareholders compared to those that do not.

As John Gerzema discovered in his proprietary 64,000 person global survey, “Most innovative leaders are breaking away from traditional structures to be more flexible, collaborative, and nurturing. Both men and women are adopting this style, which emphasizes cooperation, long-term thinking, and flexibility.” Wendy’s talk elucidates the difference between and benefits of both feminine and masculine strengths and explains why this is the opportune moment to lead with “feminine” strengths. She offers participants user-friendly ways to immediately step into this new kind of power and capitalize on the abundance of opportunities it offers.
